Making a Bike Rim Trellis

Who would have ever thought that Making a bike Rim Trellis would be cool. Not me...
But I change my mind about this Repurposed Item. I have seem Bike Rim Chairs and small end tables. The first time I saw this was on Pinterest. It wasn't made like the one in this picture the rims were just hung on a 2x4 in some fashion and was ok and did the trick.

This design of Bike Rim Trellis was one that I thought made the rims look the best. Using the larger rims one the bottom and smaller rims as I went to the top of the A Frame Style Bike Rim Trellis. I thnk what really set it off was Painting the A Frame a Grape Purple color. Having some color with the chrome rims give it some real charactor.

I'm looking forward to making more of these and taking them to the local Bike Shop for sale. I'm sure they will love them, anyone into Bike would get a kick out of it. I hope you like it as well.
Thanks for reading,
Greg

Make a Bike Rim Trellis

Well Sunday almost over so just having some fun this day with making a Bike Rim Trellis for a good customer of mine. She wants to give this to her husband for under his office window as one of his Christmas presents. He's loves riding bikes and has everything she says but a Bike Trellis.
This is the start of it. I will put another picture up when it is finished this week sometime.

Colonial Red Christmas Bench

Thanks giving isn't even here and the stores have already put Christmas lights out for sale.
So I thought I would bring out the  Colonial Red Christmas Bench that looks and feels like Christmas. I just need a Big white bow to hang on it.
This Custom Bench was made from two chairs and a bed head board. It has a shoe rack in the middle of the bench under the seat, and would work well for a few magazines. Christmas is coming but I would like to have Thanks Giving first. Now if our stores new that...

The Joy of Repurposing

Not everyone has the want to repurpose. The Joy of Repurposing comes from within every individual like an Artist.
Creating a picture, sometimes you know what you are going to paint from the start with color and the look in the minds eye.
To me when creating a new piece with different furniture parts it takes on a look of it's own. I didn't have a clue to what I was going to make as far as the finished look goes. So that's where the Joy of Repurposing comes in, not knowing the finished look when it come to shape and purpose.
This bench started with a headboard and a bunch of baby crib parts. I knew it was going to be a bench but wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. This one was a joy to build.

The First Post to Discover Repurposing

In The First Post to Discover Repurposing, I just wanted to discribe what I really enjoy doing and show you some examples of that things I have been repurposing. To resurrect or bring to life a new Item is very rewarding to me.
I have a hard time trowing away stuff that I think has another use. It's not a good thing some tiem as you want to keep to much stuff. The Key to being a repurposer is to know when to give up the stuff that you have collected and not for repurposing and not used in a project .
Also in this first Post of Discover Repurposing, I'm hoping to show you a great way to free up some of the things you have sitting around and are about ready to the dump. Which cost you money .

Here are a few pictures for some benches I have been make by repurposing furniture found at Garage sales in my garage and just plain taken form the dump.
